According to an official on Sunday, the Mumbai police would probably recreate the crime scene at the Bandra residence of actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed by an intruder multiple times. In the high-profile case, the accused is a thirty-year-old man from Bangladesh.

The accused was taken into custody from nearby Thane city. Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir was placed under five days of police custody by a Mumbai court.
In these five days, police will probably take Shariful to Saif’s house in the Satguru Sharan building so they may reconstruct the crime scene as part of their investigation, the official said.

According to the police statement, a case has been filed under sections 311, 312, 331(4), 331(6), and 331(7) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), and multiple investigative teams have been formed to look into the incident. Additionally, the police claim that the accused was on the verge of escaping to his hometown when he was arrested in Thane’s Hiranandani Estate. The accused was found to be a native of Bangladesh’s Jhalokati district.

According to authorities, Shariful entered the actor’s flat covertly in the early hours of January 16 with the purpose to steal. According to the preliminary inquiry, he climbed the stairs to the seventh-eighth floor of the building, which houses Khan and his actor wife, Kareena Kapoor, together with their kids and housekeepers.
Through a bathroom window, he entered the actor’s apartment after entering the duct area and utilising a pipe to go to the 12th level. The actor’s staff noticed him after he emerged from the lavatory, which started the series of events that resulted in the knife attack, an official had previously stated.
