Former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav passes away at the age of 82 on Monday morning in Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital. As per hospital sources, the SP patron took his last breath between 8 am to 8:30 am today morning.
Samajwadi Party patriarch and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav today passed away at the age of 82 after long illness.
He was undergoing treatment at Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital. Yesterday, the Medanta hospital said that he is on life saving drugs, and being treated in the ICU by “a comprehensive team of specialists”.
The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was admitted in the hospital for the treatment and shifted to the ICU when his condition worsened.
Born on November 22, 1939, Mulayam Singh Yadav was one of the most prominent leaders of Uttar Pradesh who served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice and has also served in the Union Government as the Minister of Defence.
He was elected 10 times as MLA and 7 times as Lok Sabha MP.
In July this year, the Samajwadi Party patriarch’s wife Sadhna Gupta passed away. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram for a lung infection.
Sadhana Gupta was Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife. His first wife, Maalti Devi passed away in 2003. Maalti Devi was the mother of Akhilesh Yadav.
