Apple is set to open its fourth official store in India, this time in Pune. The company has announced that the new retail space, named Apple Koregaon Park, will welcome customers from September 4 at 1PM. The launch comes only a few days before Apple’s annual global event, where the new iPhone 17 series is expected to be introduced. The opening of the Pune store shows Apple’s steady push to expand its retail presence in India.
After years of relying on authorised resellers and online sales, the company has been investing in physical outlets that allow users to directly experience its products. Mumbai was the first city to get an Apple Store in April 2023, followed by Delhi. Two more locations are now being added in quick succession — Bengaluru Hebbal and Pune Koregaon Park.
Apple revealed the barricade design for the Pune store earlier today. The artwork carries a Peacock-inspired theme, which the company describes as a reflection of India’s cultural vibrancy and pride. The visual identity is similar in spirit to the creative theme used for the Bengaluru outlet, which is also opening this season. Both designs show Apple’s attempt to give its Indian stores a local touch.
Inside the new store, visitors will be able to explore Apple’s complete range of products. iPhones, Macs, iPads, Apple Watch models, AirPods, and accessories will be available under one roof. The store will also provide direct support through trained staff, including Specialists to guide new buyers, Geniuses to handle technical issues, and business teams for professional customers.
Alongside its physical expansion, Apple is also strengthening digital services for Indian buyers. The company is offering features such as Shop with a Specialist over Video and updates to the Apple Store app, giving users more personalised shopping options without visiting the store.
Ahead of the Pune launch, Apple has released a few engagement initiatives for fans. The company has put out special wallpapers, a curated Apple Music playlist inspired by Pune, and details about the new store on its website.
The timing of the launch is drawing attention because it coincides with Apple’s global event window. The company is widely expected to announce the iPhone 17 lineup on September 9, along with new models of the Apple Watch and possibly an updated version of AirPods. With the Pune outlet opening just days earlier, Apple is positioning itself to capture consumer excitement around the launch.
