In the weeks leading up to the festivities, it’s all about curating the perfect wedding wardrobe – attending bridal exhibitions, mapping out daily shopping sprees, hunting down hidden gems in the city for that dream outfit, and, of course, scrolling for endless online fashion inspo.

At the recently-concluded India Couture Week, where 14 designers showcased their new collections over a span of 8 days, we took notes for you. One micro-trend that absolutely deserves your attention this season is quite hearty.
Heart-inspired necklines, romantic silhouettes, and statement cutouts are setting the tone for bridal fashion this season. Falguni Shane Peacock and Rahul Mishra are all heart for these fashionable hearts.
At the ICW opening show by Mishra, a model turned heads in a sparkling silver dress featuring a bold inverted heart cutout. The peplum blouse, with its risque midriff-baring detail, was an instant showstopper. The look easily doubles as inspiration for a voguish blouse design or can be worn as is for a cocktail party or reception.
Tara Sutaria, meanwhile, served a hearty dose of bridal glamour as the showstopper for designer Isha Jajodia’s label Roseroom. She donned a soft ivory lace skirt paired with a contrasting gold corset, while the heart-shaped neckline truly stole the spotlight.
Another show-stealer was a dreamy beige gown sprinkled with subtle sparkles. Its bodice played up the heart theme – not just with a classic sweetheart neckline, but with embellishments cleverly arranged to highlight the shape even more.
Designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock gave a metallic spin to their penchant for hearts in their new bridal wear collection.
Among the sea of sparkling ensembles, a glimmering, figure-hugging gown stood out for its striking heart detail crafted with sculpted metal accents. An emerald drop at the center amped up the drama, adding just the right dose of oomph.
Another maximalist ensemble from the same collection featured a daring blouse with a metallic heart cutout, cleverly sculpted from the meeting beaks of a bird pair.
The heart obsession didn’t stop at outfits – the jewellery game on the ramp had us seeing hearts too. Case in point: Khushi Kapoor’s show-stopping look, finished with a striking heart-shaped emerald choker.
