Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 9, 2025. The launch will be held in Brooklyn, New York, and will be streamed live on Samsung’s official website, newsroom, and YouTube channel starting at 7:30PM IST. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be the main highlights of the event.

In the lead-up to the launch, Samsung has already released a few teasers hinting at major upgrades for its next-generation foldables. One of these teased an “ultra-thin” book-style device, which many believe could be the Fold 7. While the company hasn’t confirmed full details, leaks suggest that the Z Fold 7 might come with design changes inspired by the Galaxy S25, including rounded corners and a slimmer profile, possibly as thin as 3.9mm when unfolded.
The Fold 7 is also expected to include Samsung’s top-end features, such as a 200-megapixel main camera seen on the S25 Ultra and a redesigned inner display with a smaller crease. The phone is likely to run on an upgraded version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, possibly a “for Galaxy” variant, just like earlier flagship models. Benchmark scores spotted online show promising performance, with multi-core results crossing the 9,000 mark.
Battery capacity could stay at 4,400mAh, similar to the previous model. However, with better chip efficiency and refined software, the Fold 7 may offer improved battery life.
The Z Flip 7 is also expected to get upgrades. Leaks indicate a slight increase in screen size, with the main folding display possibly going up to 6.85 inches and the outer cover display expanding from 3.4 to 4 inches. These changes could make the Flip 7 more practical for everyday use.
Samsung is not just launching phones this time. The event may also introduce new wearables, including the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and a premium Galaxy Watch Ultra. In addition, new Galaxy Buds could be part of the launch, though details are still under wraps.
As for pricing, there is no official word yet. Last year, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) was priced at Rs 1,64,999 in India, while the Flip 6 with the same RAM and storage cost Rs 1,09,999. With some upgrades, Samsung could decide to increase the price of the new foldables slightly but not drastically, especially if the company wants to stay competitive in India’s premium smartphone market. There are also chances that the company could retain the old prices, which would make the phones quite attractive to many.
