Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had a narrow escape after the car she was travelling in met with an accident at Sangam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.
Images of the accident show her car, Mahindra Scorpio, being severely damaged from the driver’s side.
The vehicle of the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister collided with a civilian car at Sangam, a police official said, PTI reported.
“Ms Mufti’s car met with a terrible accident enroute Anantnag today . Thanks to the grace of god she & her security officers escaped unhurt without any serious injuries.” her daughter Iltija Mufti said on X.
Mufti, who was on her way to Khanabal to meet the victims of a fire incident, had a close shave but escaped unhurt. However, a police officer in her personal security sustained minor injuries.
