Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after testing COVID positive.
Legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after she contracted Covid-19.
The 92-year-old singer, popularly known as the nightingale of India, is currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Breach Candy Hospital.
It has been reported that Mangeshkar is being closely monitored by doctors considering her age and other health issues.
Mangeshkar has around 30,000 songs in various languages to her credit. Although she has sung mostly in Hindi, she has also Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali songs in her discography.
Right after the threat of Omicron variant started looming over us, the first prominent celebrities in the recent past to reveal that they have tested positive for the virus were Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and her best friend Amrita Arora, who came down with Covid after attending a dinner party at film-maker Karan Johar’s house in Mumbai’s Bandra.
