After months of anticipation, Apple last night finally unveiled its next generation of flagships, the all-new iPhone 17 series. The new and more powerful iPhones came alongside the slimmest iPhone to date — the iPhone Air — as well as the refreshed AirPods Pro 3 and updated Apple Watch lineup. Apple’s ‘Awe-Dropping’ event was all about the latest hardware refreshes across categories, with new features, durability improvements, and Apple Intelligence-powered capabilities built by the Cupertino giant. . All the new Apple devices are now official. Pre-orders begin this week, with most devices reaching India on September 19.

iPhone Air
Of course, the highly anticipated announcement was the all-new iPhone Air. Apple has launched this model as its lightest, slimmest, and newest premium device, positioned between the iPhone 17 and the Pro models. The iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, a triple-camera system including a single 48-megapixel camera, and Apple’s A19 Pro chip. It ships with at least 256GB of storage, while higher storage variants go up to 1TB. In India, the iPhone Air starts at Rs 1,19,900 for the 256GB model and will go on sale from September 19.
iPhone 17
The vanilla iPhone 17 also received notable upgrades across design, cameras, and performance. The new model now sports a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion support, Ceramic Shield 2 for improved durability, and a 48-megapixel Fusion dual-camera system. For the first time, Apple has also included Center Stage on the front camera, which can automatically adjust framing in selfies and video calls. The iPhone 17 runs on the A19 chip and comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options.
The iPhone 17 will be available in lavender, mist blue, sage, white, and black colour options. In India, the iPhone 17 is priced from Rs 82,900, with pre-orders beginning on September 12 and deliveries starting September 19.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max
The Pro models also became more powerful this year. Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, both of which now start at 256GB of storage option. The iPhone 17 Pro is offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max goes up to 2TB. Both devices are powered by Apple’s latest and most powerful A19 Pro chip, which promises to bring improved performance, a redesigned titanium build, and upgraded camera systems capable of shooting in ProRAW and 8K video formats. The Pro Max further introduces Apple’s longest-ever optical zoom at 6x. In India, the iPhone 17 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 while the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,49,900. Pre-orders open on September 12, with sales beginning September 19.
AirPods Pro 3
After nearly 2 years, Apple has also refreshed its premium earbuds with the new AirPods Pro 3. The all new Airpods Pro arrived with a redesigned fit for stronger in-ear stability and new features such as heart-rate tracking during workouts and Live Translation for conversations in different languages.
Apple has also improved the noise cancellation which the company claims is now up to 2x more effective than the second generation. Battery life has been extended to eight hours with ANC on. In India, the AirPods Pro 3 are priced at Rs 25,900 and will go on sale from September 19.
Apple Watch Series 11
Apple also refreshed its smartwatch lineup with the Apple Watch Series 11. The new Apple Watch now comes with performance upgrades and deeper integration with Apple Intelligence. The watch supports 5G connectivity, introduces a Hypertension alert feature, and brings a new Sleep Score, powered by its extended 24-hour battery life.Ofcourse the Watch will continue to offer advanced health and fitness tracking, crash detection, and temperature sensing. In India, the Apple Watch Series 11 is priced from Rs 41,900, with sales starting on 19 September.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
For those seeking a rugged option, Apple announced the new Apple Watch Ultra 3. Building on the Ultra 2, the new model promises to offer better battery optimisation, improved dive and expedition tracking, and a brighter display for outdoor use. It features a 49mm titanium case with a larger LTPO OLED Retina display, peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, and battery life of up to 42 hours in normal use or 72 hours in Low Power Mode. In India, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is priced from Rs 89,900, with pre-orders live now and availability from September 19.
Apple Watch SE
Apple also refreshed its entry-level wearable with the new Apple Watch SE. It retains essentials like fitness tracking, crash detection, and Family Setup while omitting some of the advanced sensors of higher-end models. This version is powered by the S10 chip, now supports an Always-On Retina Display, and includes temperature sensing. p. The Apple Watch SE will be available in India starting at Rs 29,900 from September 19.

Alongside its all new powerful and flashy new devices, Apple also revealed a fresh lineup of accessories. These included a super-slim 1mm clear case designed for the feather-light iPhone Air. The cover promises to offer basic protection without spoiling its sleek design.
For iPhone 17 Pro buyers, Apple introduced an all-new TechWoven case, which according to the company is crafted with multi-yarn textures for a more premium and durable feel, plus updated silicone cases in fresh colours.
Apple also launched a new crossbody strap for the new iPhones that clips onto supported cases, letting users carry iPhone hands-free with extra convenience and style.
Finally, Apple also brought back its MagSafe battery pack, this time optimised for the iPhone Air, promising up to 40 hours of total battery life.
And with that, Apple wrapped up its September event, which brought a mix of new iPhones, updated AirPods, and refreshed Watches, all reaching for the Indian buyers in the coming weeks.
