A video of a police constable brutally thrashing an old man at Jabalpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh is making rounds on social media. The cop from Rewa district has been suspended after a video of him beating an old man and dragging him came to light.
According to sources, the elderly man was misbehaving with the police officer and his fellow passengers at the station in an inebriated state.
In the 30-second video, the police constable, identified as Anant Mishra, can be seen kicking the elderly man in his face and punching him.

The constable then dragged the man by his feet on the railway platform, pulled him and and was on the verge of throwing him on the railway track. The video that was recorded by one of the passengers inside a stationary train shows the cop repeatedly kicking the victim’s left hand.
“A video of an old man being assaulted by constable Anant Mishra at Jabalpur railway station has gone viral on social media. When the matter was investigated, it was found that the constable Anant Mishra has been posted at police station in Rewa district. Constable Anant Mishra has been suspended,”Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Pratima Patel said.
