A fire at a showroom in Pune’s Gangadham area damaged at least seven electric bikes on Monday night. Fire brigade officials suspect a short circuit due to overcharging of the e-bikes to have started the fire. No injuries have been reported in the incident.
Pune: At least seven electric bikes were gutted in fire that broke out at a showroom in Pune on Monday night while getting charged. Fire brigade officials said that no injuries have been reported in the incident.
The incident occurred at an e-bike shop located near the Gangadham area of Market Yard in Pune.
According to a fire brigade official, the e-bikes
were plugged in for charging and prima facie a short circuit might have occurred due to overcharging that led to the fire.
A call reporting the incident was received at around 8 PM. Four water tenders helped to bring the fire under control
