Gurugram: Lawrence Bishnoi’s associates, Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar, have taken responsibility for the crude bomb blast outside a bar in Sector 29, Gurugram, via social media. They accused the bar owner of making large sums of money through illegal activities, evading taxes, and causing harm to the nation. They also issued a warning that everyone would eventually have to pay taxes.
In a post purportedly on Facebook, they threatened that the blast was just a small-scale attack and that they were capable of executing much larger ones. The police are currently investigating the post.
On Tuesday, the Gurugram Police arrested a man named Sachin in connection with the incident. According to authorities, two cotton bombs were thrown outside the bar in Sector 29. Initial investigations revealed that Sachin was under the influence of alcohol at the time. “The accused was intoxicated and had already thrown two cotton bombs. He was about to throw two more when the police intervened and arrested him, along with the remaining bombs,” the police said.
Vikas Arora, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, visited the site of the explosion. Following his instructions, the Gurugram Police bomb disposal team was called to examine and secure the area. “Two live cotton bombs found in the possession of the accused were safely defused by the bomb disposal team,” the police added.
The explosion caused minor damage to a scooter and a signboard, but there were no reported injuries or casualties.
