On Monday (local time), US President Donald Trump said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the United States in February.
Donald Trump was quoted by the news agency Reuters as saying that Prime Minister Modi will visit the United States at some point in February.
Trump issued his statement subsequent to his initial telephone conversation with Prime Minister Modi since the Republican was sworn in for a second term on January 20.
The contact was made in the context of a rumor in diplomatic circles that the Indian government was preparing for an early meeting between the two leaders.

In September of last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the United States for the fourth Quad Leaders’ summit, which was hosted by then-President Joe Biden. The summit was also attended by the prime ministers of fellow Quad states, including Anthony Albanese of Australia and Fumio Kishida of Japan.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, which was titled the “Summit of the Future.”
The Indian government was represented at Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, D.C. by External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

The White House has announced that President Trump and Prime Minister Modi engaged in a “productive call” during which they deliberated on the potential for the two nations to “deepen and broaden” their collaboration.
PM Modi’s potential visit to the United States was also discussed, according to the statement.
