If other parties want, Nitish Kumar an option for Opposition’s PM face: JD(U)
The Janata Dal (United) on Friday said Nitish Kumar is very much an option for the post of prime minister in 2024 if other Opposition parties want so. JD(U) chief Lalan Singh said Nitish is not a contender for the PM face but he would not be averse to this idea if other parties want so. He told news agency PTI that Nitish wants a united Opposition so that it can take on the BJP. The JD(U) has convened a national executive meeting of the party on August 29, to discuss the current political situation and other matters.
