Apple is finally kicking off 2026. The Cupertino giant has announced that it will be hosting a special event on March 4. Though unlike the Apple events which are held at the company’s headquarters, this event will be hosted across three different cities – New York, London, and Shanghai. This event is rumoured to be the debut of an affordable MacBook, but there could be more in store too.
The company has sent an invite to select mediapersons for this “special Apple experience.” The invite also showcases the Apple logo in a new 3D theme with layers of glass making the iconic silhouette.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Apple logo in the invite comprises the same colours that the company has been testing the low-cost MacBook – light green, yellow, and blue.
When is the March Apple event?
The invite states that Apple will host this special experience event on March 4, 2026 at 9 am ET (7:30 pm IST).
The event will take place across New York, London, and Shanghai all at once. However, you will likely be able to catch the livestream via Apple’s YouTube channel or the company’s official website.
What to expect from March Apple event?
Apple reportedly has a slew of launches in the works, and the new products could be showcased during this event.
Affordable MacBook
Apple is said to have been working on a low-cost MacBook for sometime now. This device may finally be unveiled during the upcoming event. As per reports, the affordable MacBook could use the A18 Pro chipset from the iPhone 16 Pro, while getting a 12.9-inch LCD display. The Cupertino giant is also expected to release the device in bright colours, such as blue, yellow and pink.
This low-cost MacBook may be priced around $599 (roughly Rs 54,000) in the US.
Apart from the new budget MacBook, Apple is also expected to debut the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets. New Apple Studio display and an upgraded Mac may also be released.
iPhone 17e
The Cupertino giant could likely release the next e-series iPhone on March 4. The iPhone 17e will bring some notable upgrades compared to the iPhone 16e, such as the A19 chipset, MagSafe support, and slimmer bezels on the front. However, the camera setup and the notch on the display may be carried over.
M4 iPad Air
The iPad Air could finally get the M4 chipset. Though the design and features of the device will likely remain virtually identical to its predecessor.
Along with the new iPad Air, Apple may also launch the 12th generation iPad, which will likely use the A18 chipset from the iPhone 16.
Siri upgrades and AI
While Apple has reportedly delayed the launch of the fully overhauled Siri, we can still expect some notable changes to the company’s virtual assistant. The company may launch iOS 26.4 with a new version of Siri that would likely be run on Google Gemini as part of a billion-dollar deal.
