Police reported that a private school in Vadodara received an email at 4 a.m. on Friday, which contained a threat to detonate the campus.
The school authorities promptly notified the parents and proclaimed a holiday for students in order to guarantee their safety after receiving the bomb threat.
“The matter is currently under active investigation by all agencies.” Similar threat mails were also received by numerous institutions in other states yesterday. The authorities are not taking any chances. A senior police official informed India Today TV that the entire building has been sanitized, and the cyber cell is also attempting to determine the email’s source.
Although the Vadodara Police have confirmed that there are no credible threats associated with these events, they have emphasized that public safety remains their first priority.
Additional information will be contingent upon the results of the cyber team’s ongoing investigation into the threat mails, the police stated.
